Letter from the Basileus
Brothers in Omega, Friends, and Visitors,
It is with a humble and servitude heart that I welcome you to the Pi Phi Chapter website.
As the 46th Basileus of Pi Phi Chapter, currently the largest chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., with a membership of over 400 Brothers, at the conclusion of the 2022 fiscal year, I greet you in friendship.
It is my intent and expectation that the Executive team and I provide leadership to this astute body of men with:
T
ransparency,
E
nthusiasm,
A
ccountability,
and
M
eticulousness
(TEAMwork)
while providing the brotherhood a strong Return On Investment through
R
esponsibility,
O
pen-mindedness, and
I
ntegrity.
My vision is to promote more collaboration with other civic organizations, corporate entities, and community partners along with endorsing and seeking more mutually beneficial sponsorship opportunities. Together, we will work to uplift our community and utilize our 30+ committees to provide value-added services, forums, platforms, education, and labor.
After twenty years, Pi Phi Chapter once again hosted the Grand Conclave. The 83rd Grand Conclave was the largest and arguably the best Grand Conclave in the history of the fraternity, in Charlotte, NC July 21-26, 2022. Coming off a monumental achievement such as that, we cannot and will not rest on our laurels but will continue to serve as a beacon of light to those less fortunate and the community at large.
The Chapter proudly hosted the 78th Sixth District Annual Meeting on April 20-23, 2023, when a few thousand brothers from the states of North and South Carolina will once again converge on the city to plan and conduct meetings for the betterment of the brothers of the Mighty Sixth and the communities in which we serve.
I truly hope that our supporters will continue to work with us to make the Greater Charlotte area a better place to raise a family, be entertained, work, and live.
With Warmest Regards,
Carl Johnson, Jr.
46th Basileus, Pi Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
